John and his family have lived in Prince William County for over 23 years. He is best known for his tenure on the Prince William County Board of Supervisors, where he ardently fought against tax increases and supported law enforcement.

John has been a dedicated conservative his entire life. He served in the Reagan Administration, in the U.S. House of Representatives, and he was appointed by Governor Bob McDonnell to serve a five year term on the Virginia Commission on Local Government.

His extraordinary service to the community and selfless acts of philanthropic work include serving as a lector at his local parish, an active member of the Knights of Columbus where he helps to deliver food to the needy, litter control on local roads, and places wreaths at military cemeteries as part of Wreaths Across America.  John serves on the Board of Directors for Manassas Battlefield Trust and is past chairman of the Hylton Performing Arts Center.
